On July 14, the company Portomotor de Ferrol visited CIS Technology and Design to learn about the possibilities of Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies with a view to its future collaboration in the definition of an AR demonstrator within the European MAINGAP project.

This project, financed by Interreg Spain-Portugal, in which the Galician Innovation Agency participates through the CIS Technology and Design, and which is led by the CTAG, the Galician Automotive Technology Centre, aims to transfer and enhance 4.0 technologies to Innovative SMEs in the Euroregion.

During the visit, the Portomotor staff had the opportunity to test previous developments carried out at the CIS Technology and Design such as the Augmented Reality demonstrator with Magic Leap glasses carried out in collaboration with the company DETEGASA for the MANUFACTUR4.0 project; the Augmented Reality demonstrator with Hololens 1 glasses carried out jointly with the Portuguese company Laurel Shiprepairs also for the MANUFACTUR4.0 project; the varnishing simulator developed within the framework of the FUTUREFACING project or the airless painting simulator developed within the framework of the MATES project.
