The library of this centre, dedicated to the writer Agustín Fernández Paz, has been included in the Lia 2 Plan by the Regional Ministry of Culture, Education and University Planning, for its excellent management to improve skills in reading, writing and research, use of information.

Last March the first part of this augmented reality project was delivered, consisting of an application with which the covers of some of Agustín Fernández Paz’s books seemed to come to life, and showed the user part of the plots that were going to find in the book.

In this month of July, the second part of the project was delivered in which a 1:1 scale 3D avatar representing the author himself introduces us to both his person and his work; all this by pointing a mobile device to a series of bookmarks distributed by the library that bears his name.

In the display at the entrance of the library he tells us about himself and in the rest of the displays he describes what the library offers to users, mixing it with pieces of his own life and his land.

A student from the educational centre has used his voice in Agustín Fernández Paz avatar in this second augmented reality application.
